Naked Snake Press announces the release of Speculative/Horror author Angeline Hawkes-Craig's new Horror/Thriller chapbook, THROUGH A GLASS DARKLY, on March 20. THROUGH A GLASS DARKLY is availabe through Naked Snake Press, Shocklines, and Project Pulp.
Summary:
A horrifying tale involving stem cell research, governmental psychic intrigue, and the coming of the Anti-Christ. Saint John had no way of knowing the incredible advances of modern medicine. What we know, based on his visions in the book of Revelations, is a message rendered incomplete by these recent medical developments. What John knew concerning the last days only scraped the surface ... the truth is even more terrifying. The possibilities are endless.

Hi Angeline!
Nice to see you on board! I've read some of your short stories online and really enjoyed them.
Your chapbook sounds interesting.

Hey Angeline!
I won the HorrorWeb 2004 Roundup and just received my prize... it includes one of your chapbooks - R.I.P.
Can't wait to read it!

Hi Yolanda!
I won that back in 2002. Great spring board for your career! Hold onto that RIP, it's now out of print. Was published as a promotional book to give out at conventions. Has a chapter of my his/fan novel THE SWAN ROAD [out of print, but available in ebook format now] and I think it had 3 short stories, which I believe are now in a collection entitled PORTALS OF TERROR with myself and horror author Eric S Brown.RIP was a nice little, sleek colorful book that really turned heads at the convention last Feb 2004.
Enjoy! And, congrats on winning the round-up!

WOW! It's actually even got your autograph, that's sooooo cool! And it does look great. Don't worry, I intend on not only holding onto it but reading it.
Yeah, I remember seeing that you won the 2002 Roundup at Horrorweb! It's very exciting because I actually won the 2003 and 2004 Roundups. I can only hope that this helps towards my writing career.
Thanks so much for your comments and I'm glad you're getting great reviews for your latest release.

Re: THROUGH A GLASS DARKLY chapbook release Mar 20
I hope it helps your career like it did mine. I can't remember exactly how it was worded, but there is a mention of the 2002 win on the back of the original release of my fiction collection, MOMENTO MORI; and, all of the stories that won are in the collection as well. Scrybe Press will be reprinting the collection this year, as it went out of print last year.
A few more stories that didn't win, but were posted at Horror-Web for subsequent contests appear in PORTALS OF TERROR, another collection with myself and Eric S Brown.
Last year the images posted didn't do much for me and they cut the word limit to 1000 or something...I can't say squat in 1000 words! lol. I'm a 4-6k average story teller, so hard to trim it down.
This year they went to some other format too, didn't they? Essay or add to some sentence or something. I miss the old images write a story approach. Anyway, after winning 4 straight months in 2002 I figured I should give someone else a chance anyway! Was fun while the streak lasted though.
Best wishes!
Angeline
