Re: Questions

I found a publisher thats said in the Submission Guidelines part that I need to send a SASE along with story. My question is, what the heck is a SASE?!?

That a Self-Adressed Stamped Envelope.

(And don't think you're stupid, I asked the same question about a year ago.)

It means that publishers are not willing to pay the postage for sending back your manuscript or the letter saying they are taking it. That's why they want you to provide an envelope with your address on it, complete with postage.

Re: Questions

If you need an SASE for a foreign country, there are ways to get something from your post office that can be used in exchange for postage in the other country...
It's late, this isn't about cardiac imaging and I'm having trouble.

It's called an International Reply Coupon. You may find that most postal employees don't know much about them, but they can look it up.

IRC's work but they are usually criminally expensive. You're much better off if you can find someone in that other country to buy stamps and send them to you to put on your SASE.

But within your own country it's not a problem.

Okay! So, Sherry, how many stamps can I order? LOL. Actually, Canada is easy for me, I just drive up and visit my aunties or my cousin.
I should do that soon. Especially the aunties.
